Featuring the Reel Rock Tour
THE REEL ROCK Film Tour brings high-octane climbing and adventure films to enthusiastic
audiences across the world. In its inaugural year of 2006, REEL ROCK packed
theaters in over 50 cities from Anchorage to New Paltz, entertained more than
10,000 people, and received rave reviews from audiences and local and national
media.
The 2007 REEL ROCK Tour will be even bigger, with over 60 locations across
the U.S., Canada, and Europe in September and October.
REEL ROCK 2007 will feature Chris Sharmafs King Lines,
the groundbreaking new movie from Sender Films and BigUp Productions. Chris
Sharma is the strongest and most famous rock climber in the world. For the
past decade he has dominated his sport, and at 25 years old, the Santa Cruz,
CA native is just hitting his stride. King Lines documents Sharmafs
quest to be the first to climb the most difficult and outrageous rock formations
around the world.
The opening act for King Lines is a highlight showing of Committed, a
new film documenting the legendary British appetite for hard and dangerous
rock climbing, by filmmakers Dave Brown and Paul Diffley of Hot Aches.
A video clip of Sharmafs effort on Es Pontas can be seen at www.senderfilms.com
or www.bigupproductions.com. This segment\which aired on NBCfs Jeep World
of Adventure Sports\won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Camerawork in
April.
Arrive after 7 PM and hear Two
Dollar Goat playing tunes new and old in
the Bluegrass style with tight harmonies
and a driving rhythm infused with a light-hearted approach to music.
Also, while enjoying the music, see
slides of the Gunks taken by local photographer and climbing guide, Matt
Calardo.
